- "People spend more time using their smartphones for surfing the web, checking social networks or playing games than making phone calls, new research has found." - I think that the difference is probably even more pronounced in my case than in there's. In my case I'd guess making phone calls is lower than anything in their list except reading books (I have an ereader for that sort of thing).

- A summary of various incidents around the world just in the month of May. There are some negative things that can be said about how Muslims are treated in majority-non-Muslim countries, but when you examine the situation of non-Muslims in Muslim-majority areas the situation seems far worse.

- The answer appears to be no, but it's fine for clinics to impose spousal notification requirements and apparently most do. Compare to husbands having no right to stop their wives from having abortions.

- The finance minister: "There will be tax increases; there will be spending cuts ... But I reject any talk of austerity." Not quite sure how he'll manage the contradiction.
