Update on the stem cell research debate:

I came across a story today that might make you change your mind about embryonic stem cell research. What do you think of a new technique to apparently get such stem cells from embryos without destroying them?

I've also heard of ways to get stem cells from non-embryonic sources.

I think that as long as the embryo survives with no detrimental effects that it would be ok.

Apparently there are a few differentiating characteristics which makes some suspect that embryonic cells may offer more promise.

LifeSiteNews posted an article today regarding this and how some of the ethical issues may still remain.

Sounds like it's impossible to get around the ethical issues.
