Don't give me this 'if Lehman Sisters had been in charge …' nonsense
"People who reach influential positions in corporations do so because they have the ruthless personality, mindset and talent (if that word is appropriate) to meet the demands of their employers. It might be slightly easier to find men like that, but this does not mean women appointed to such roles would behave any differently."
What Happens When You Abolish Tipping: I got rid of gratuities at my restaurant, and our service only got better.
Another reason tipping is unjust: "Servers and cooks typically made similar base wages — and minimum wage was the same for both jobs — but servers kept all the tips, which could often mean they were taking home three times what the cooks made, or more."

Bill Gates as a student at Harvard

From Harvard Magazine:

Gates developed a rebellious academic pattern: He would not go to the lectures for any course in which he was enrolled, but he would audit classes that he was not taking. On the perpetrators of mass shootings: "While the killings have caused many people to point to the violent aspects of the culture, a closer look shows little evidence that video games, movies or television encouraged many of the attacks. In only 6 of the 100 cases did the killers have a known interest in violent video games. Seven other killers showed an interest in violent movies."
German chancellor’s drone “attack” shows the threat of weaponized UAVs
"At a campaign rally in Dresden on September 15, a small quadrocopter flew within feet of German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Defense Minister Thomas de Maiziere, hovering briefly in front of them before crashing into the stage practically at Merkel's feet. Merkel appeared to be amused by the "drone attack," but de Maiziere and others on the stage seemed a bit more unsettled by the robo-kamikaze. ... While Merkel smirked off the drone in Dresden, even a small explosive charge or grenade aboard a similar drone would have been catastrophic—and defending against such attacks is difficult at best."
