Back to audiobooks

There's a lot of audio floating around the net but in addition to a few podcasts, the last while I'm starting to shift back towards listening to recordings of books rather than of speeches, interviews and the like.

What am I listening to?

Overdrive audiobooks from the library
They finally offer "support" for the iPod which is nice to have now that I'm using it. By "support" what they really seem to mean is forcing you to go through the same silly transcoding that piratespeople normally do. Not always the newest titles but still enough to keep me listening.
Christian Audio
It's a bit hit and miss, but often there's something interesting in the free monthly download. This month is social justice month it seems and, in addition to the freebie from the WorldVision founder, somewhat surprisingly at least two of the four discounted others are from folks with some connection to the PCA.
Audible
I used to have a subscription with them a long time back and I finally signed up again. They've basically got the largest, most current collection of downloadable audiobooks out there.

Where I am about now...

Apparently I'm right on schedule in that "post-quals slump". Motivation severely lacking in, well, pretty much everything.

That said, I do have a new toy that I picked up yesterday. Now to see how much I actually wind up using it.

A little dose of CPAC

See Bloc Quebecois Leader Mocks Biblical Christianity in Commons for more details (although he was speaking in French so their use of quote marks doesn't seem correct). On a related note check out the National Post article Saving women's lives without abortion.

What "Christian groups" is the government funding (given Duceppe's comments about missionaries)? (For the record: I'd vote against government funding of Christian groups, and I also favour the elimination of charitable tax credits. But I also favour significant cutbacks of government spending on most social programs).
