Feeling slightly more bachelory
Today the move of most furniture out of the townhouse took place, as most of the stuff belonged to one now-married individual. I now own the only chair in the place (plus a lawn chair in my car), and my computer desk is now about the closest thing to a kitchen table. Somehow I don't envision entertaining too many guests here in the near future - at least not more than one at a time.
To butcher a Shakespearean quote: to buy furniture or not to buy furniture? That is the question.

Buy what you need. If you
Buy what you need. If you don't need anything, there's nothing to buy. No need to make an issue out of it.

Sometimes in North American
Sometimes in North American society people gray over the distinction between needs and wants. In reality, there are very few (if any) items that are actually needed - and sometimes people will spend more on an item than they need to.
