Hmn. I don't really think that I have a favourite... although it's usually the 70-300 zoom lense that sits on the camera. Casting aside the issue of zoom lenses, there's also the issue of the 1.6x multiplier effect of many digital SLRs (and other multipliers for point-and-shoot.
I'm with you...it's hard to pick a favorite, but I seem to do most of my shooting in the 200 to 300mm range, so that must be my favorite. My 135/2.8 is probably my favorite lens, and it works out to 216mm on the D30.
