Reminds me of the Apple iProduct. It seemed to account for about half the stories in my feed reader from the mainstream media which seemed, even for Apple a little excessive. Ah well, at least finally demoing the iPad might reduce the level of hype directed at the company.
I was hoping for some dual-mode e-paper/LCD display which unfortunately it didn't have. As it, with an LCD, I think that I'd sooner buy Amazon's Kindle or B&N's Nook or some e-paper device. Too lousy for a laptop, not a great display for an ebook reader.
That said, I may wind up buying an iPod touch sometime soon. My MP3 player is currently starting to die - it's about 2.5 years old and has taken quite a beating over that time - and unfortunately, there seem to be very few non-Apple devices of any quality available now. We'll see if my bad experience with the Nano I bought recurs.
