The Global Gender Gap report assumes that women SHOULD live about 6% longer than men - i.e. a country wherein men and women live equally as long would be counted as one in which women face a gender gap. Historically sex-based differences in life expectancy seems to have been impacted by childbirth related deaths. Are differences in typical gender roles in the last century or so now having a related effect?

I don't have a problem with this. I've heard complaints about conferences before where, e.g., t-shirts only come in male sizes. That said I'm going to guess that someone will object by claiming that it contributes to the objectification of women's appearances.

Only "sexual assault" exists in there at the moment. It seems to me that to a certain extent the boy-who-cried-wolf phenomena applies here - "When the language of sexual assault is used ... we can deny violence against women by saying "Well, for all we know he bumped up against her accidentally in the elevator."'" There's a lot of stuff that studies in this area classify as rape or sexual assault that relatively few would be likely to recognize as such.
