Hoping for something other than a repeat of my Christmas "vacation"

My so-called vacation at the end of last year didn't work out quite so well. It seemed to be almost continually raining, and, alongside running a fever and having a constant headache, I had homework to tide me through the whole time.

I'm scheduled to be on a flight back to Vancouver in under 24 hours for Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. Let's see:

  • Sick? Yup... a rather annoying cold.
  • Rain in the forecast? Yup. It's almost a given in BC
  • Homework? I'm trying to get my thesis polished off within the next month or so such that my plans for January aren't messed up. Hopefully I'll get enough done in the next 24 hours that I won't feel guilty about taking a few days off.

At least it's looking a little better than it was that time.
