How would you celebrate kidney bean appreciation weekend?
A while back I made the mistake of buying dry kidney beans rather than the canned variety. Since they're a food whose preparation seems to require overnight soaking plus hours of cooking time, they don't quite fit into my definition of bachelor food.
Thus, on Friday night I declared it kidney bean appreciation weekend, with the idea of cooking up the whole kilo of dried beans in one shot. Last night's kidney beans + meat was followed today in my crock pot by the most kidney-bean intensive chili recipe that I could find. ... and I've still got a few containers of kidney beans sitting in my freezer in addition to lots of leftover chili.
Any suggestions for how to use up the remainder of those things? I've run out of ideas as I'm not a fan of bean salads. Or perhaps, the remainder shall stay in the freezer until the next time I decide to make chili.

Oh man...
I am dying laughing here Dave. I have to say, with that amount of kidney beans gestating in your intestines, it might be a good thing (I mean, just this weekend of course) that you are still a bachelor! ;^P
I have no solutions for what to use kidney beans for because I don't so much like kidney beans. (I know, my kidneys are probably mad at me. They are insulted.) Might you be able mash them up and use them as some sort of grout?
