Had an appointment in Vancouver

Given this message, and a receipt that says "Via Rail McDONALD'S" up top, I'll leave you to guess what I did this afternoon on my way to SFU. (And, yes, I got multiples of everything. Unfortunately the posters were loose rather than rolled nicely, but they seem to have survived OK thus far)

This was actually also the first time that I tried an entree salad at any fast food place, although I've tried Wendy's side caesar before. I had a Chicken Caesar Salad, it wasn't too bad, and thus far my stomach hasn't complained either. Of course, I'm sure that Darren still thinks that salads are nothing more rabbit food.

And his big floppy ears? Can you wiggle your nose yet??!!
Seems to me the signature might be kind of appropriate this time 'round.

I'm not crazy...oh, wait, nevermind.

The posters are 11x17 (yes Darren, I'm using inches), without any border around the image. What do you think might be better, getting a 11x17 frame, or getting a 16x20 frame with the appropriate trim to add a border around the photo? I somehow think that my steam print would look better with a border, rather than being all image with a wood frame.

Don't know, I'd have to see the poster to be sure.

I'm not crazy...oh, wait, nevermind.

By multiples I presume you mean there's one of everything waiting for me, since I snagged one of everything for everybody when BCRail was giving away those posters, in which case I need to come over soon.

I've got everything in triplicate. I convinced Ryan to stop by Walmart on the way home this afternoon, but unfortunately they didn't have any 11x17 frames, or some nice inserts to drop a 16x20 frame down to 11x17.

I get a copy too?

I'm not crazy...oh, wait, nevermind.

I suppose that you and Ryan will have to fight it out over who gets that third copy :)

I guess that we'll have to meet up at some point in the not-so-distant future. I've got a hard drive and some Via crap for you, and I think that you've still got a certain mapbook and owe me for some computer parts.

Dave'll have to drag his butt out here one of these days, or I could swing by tomorrow when I'm getting dragged to a swap meet in Cloverdale. And, yes, I do have that Backroads mapbook.

I'm not crazy...oh, wait, nevermind.

So Shena and yourself haven't discovered any swap meets out at that end of the value yet, or is this just an excuse to get to this end of the value?

If you're in the neighborhood anyways, you might as well drop on by. I don't know when I'll end up at the other end of the valley at this point.

Holding a house-warming party might help to drag everyone down to that end of the valley sometime :)

End of the value?

There's a few reasons to be at the other end of valley:
1. Model railroad show on October 15
2. The Bookman

End of the value?

Ah, apparently I missed one. Everytime I first tried to type valley, the gremlins inside the keyboard always converted it to value. I thought that I had fixed up all occurances, but I guess I missed one.

Well, we've been out here all of a week now...when we lived out here before we had no reason to look for one. As well, the Cloverdale one is one of the largest in BC if I'm not mistaken.

If you're in the neighborhood anyways, you might as well drop on by.

Will do...I'll bring a cheque and backroads mapbook with me.

Yeah, one of these days. When I'm not sure yet, but in the next while.

I'm not crazy...oh, wait, nevermind.

Got my poster, bookmark, and pin from Dave last night at Bible study. Don't think I properly thanked you yet, so thanks very much!

The poster features the current "Canadian" train set. The bookmark is a smaller version of the poster. The pin has a slightly stylized Park car from the original stainless steel set (so naturally it's my favorite of the three items).

On Monday I'll see about a quote on 11x17 frames. We have two different colors: gold and silver.

Good news of sorts. If you're ok with gold, you can have one for free.

Ooo... free is good!

Can you bring it along with you on Thursday?

Sure.
