The Amish and forgiveness

From Homeward Bound, commenting on a news story about the Amish donating money to help support the widow of the individual who murdered a bunch of Amish girls last year:

We can take issue with any number of Amish theological positions, but we have to admit and admire that this community has shown the world, and more importantly the Church, what it means to live out Christ-like forgiveness and charity.
