It looks like 'camping in the BC interior' is to be the winner

So, thus far it seems that one other person is interested in camping somewhere in the vicinity of Shuswap this weekend. Give me a shout if you're interested, and I can set you up with access to the corresponding wiki page.

Yes, it's early enough in the season that most campgrounds won't be open yet, but the temperatures should be OK. Last year, I spent a night in my tent on an April trip and that worked out well. The temperatures then were definitely a lot warmer than when sleeping in the car back in November 2003 (-10 or colder excluding windchill).

Where do you think that Dave will be next weekend

Don't hold weddings around the end of the semester!

One of my roommates (or ex-roommate at this point) is getting married in about 9 hours and neither roommate numero deux nor myself will be in attendance. My other roommate's got an exam tomorrow morning, and I'm currently nearing the end of a marking session which I need to finish before heading off to bed. After tonight, hopefully I'm done with marking for the semester! (and then I'm down to a single oral exam remaining).

If the wedding were local I'd still attend, but as it is, its a 14 hour drive round-trip in Saskatchewan. Not the kind of trek that you really want to start out on when what you really want to do is fall asleep, and the last Greyhound headed in that direction departed Calgary at 8:45pm.

So 1and1 indeed does nasty things with DNS

Well, the transfer of the domain over to 1and1 finally went through, and it seems that they did in fact decide to utilize their name servers. The nameservers should be propogating back to the correct ones in the next day or two.

For the moment I've fiddled around with 1and1's DNS to at least direct most of the traffic to the appropriate locations (Unforunately 1and1's DNS options are limited so you'll have to wait a couple of days should you want to access either the photo galleries or the wiki).
